Flavor Maven Client Policies- for in-home services - dinner parties, cooking classes, personalized meal plan with recipes.

  • RATES: Dinner party rate- $90 per hour. Includes appetizer, entree and dessert served family style. *Groups of 5 or more, multi-course and plated dinners require additional staff at a flat rate fee per event, this will be discussed in the consultation. Your invoice will reflect the time spent creating a unique menu with one round of included revisions, ingredient procurement, prep, service, and clean up. $270 deposit due 48 hours after initial consultation. Deposit is fully refundable if you cancel 10 days before the event.  

Private cooking class rate- $150 per hour. One on one instruction with a custom menu and recipes for you to keep. Invoice will reflect the time spent creating a unique menu based on your class theme, ingredient procurement, cooking demo with Chef Chantal, hands on cooking for the client(s), a plated tasting at the end of class and cleanup. $150 deposit due 48 hours after initial consultation.

Personalized meal plan with recipes rate-

  • CONSULTATION: Included with service is a complimentary one hour consultation to discuss your needs, dietary restrictions, food allergies and preferences. During the consultation we will agree on an outline for your event, class or custom meal plan. Once the deposit has been paid you will receive a menu proposal to review and make changes.

 • MENU CHANGES: I strive to exceed your expectations by providing a unique experience every week. Your meal plan may fluctuate with things like travel or holidays. I request 24hrs notice for changes to your usual meal plan, this includes preparing either less or more food than normal. I appreciate your consideration, as it allows me to better meet the needs of all my clients. 

• MENU PLANNING: Because this is a customized service, I do not have a standard menu nor do I give menus in advance, except for special events or dinner parties. I will create the menu when I arrive at the house, based on any notes from the previous week. Also, I am happy to pick up additional items for you while at the grocery store. 

• CONTRACTS : There are no contracts, you are free to start or stop the service at any time. If you cannot maintain a consistent weekly or biweekly appointment, you will be placed on an alternate list. I will do my very best to accommodate you based on availability. 

• TRAVEL: We all need a vacation from time to time, myself included! There are times when one or more clients skip service in the same week, and this has a negative effect financially for me as a solopreneur. So, if you would like to skip the week and continue with service on the same day and time when you return, there is a modest $85 holding fee. This is a concession made by both of us to ensure regular service. Alternatively, I will continue service while you are away and prepare items to use later, such as food that can be frozen and re-heated at your discretion. If I need to skip a day due to illness or travel, there is no charge to the client.

 • HOLIDAYS: If your service day happens to fall on a major holiday, I will consult with you to try and reschedule for another day that same week. (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and NY day, ONLY). If re scheduling isn’t possible or you would like to skip I will not charge a holding fee. If I have opted to take the holiday for myself there will also be no holding fee. 

• REHEATING FOOD : It is my goal to use the freshest ingredients every week and create high quality meals. I never want you to feel like you are eating left overs! To achieve this, I will slightly undercook most meats and vegetables to account for reheating. Meals that are designed to be served cold will be thoroughly cooked. Your meals can be reheated either in the oven or microwave until hot in the center. All menu items have a 5-to-7 day shelf life so please eat, discard or freeze within that time period to avoid food born illness. Also, please consider that some dishes simply do not hold well for this type of cooking.

 • SERVICE AREA : All services are offered within 15 miles of the 80211 zip code in Denver, without driving fees. Your invoice will reflect time spent on menu planning, shopping, cooking and cleanup only. Special events/parties/lessons outside of that area will be accepted upon request and drive time will be charged accordingly. 

• PAYMENT: Payment for groceries and service are separate and due on the day of service. Please provide a credit card, cash or pre-loaded gift card for groceries. I will leave a receipt for your review. I accept cash, check and credit/debit card for payment of service. Please note there is a 3.6% fee per transaction for cards.

 • INSURANCE: Due to the personal nature of cooking in your home, often when you are not present, I deeply value your trust. Flavor Maven LLC is a licensed and insured business. I maintain a current Food Safety Certificate and a membership in the American Culinary Association. 

• REFERRAL DISCOUNT: As a thank you for your loyal patronage, I offer a one-time $50 discount to both you and any referral you send my way.
